Dear Rob Albanese and Laura Albanese: On Sunday, April 29, 2007, the three of us went to see An Evening with the Stars Doo Wop Show. My brother, Anthony, loved music, especially rock and roll. For a few years now we have been going to your Sunday, 3:00pm show. This year was the best, all the performers were outstanding. Anthony could not wait to go. The tickets I bought from you were always 1 wheelchair for him and 2 seats, and the seating was always the best. We always had the best seats in the house. On this particular night some of the artists were walking down the aisle, and they came up and shook hands with my brother, he was in awe. As the night was going on the show was getting better and better. When the show ended, it was like we just got seated and wanted more. My brother was a deejay many years ago and so the radio was always on 24/7. I promised Anthony that we will always come to your shows and he knew I would keep my word on this. Your shows made him so happy, hearing his favorite tunes, and seeing his favorite's artist in person did a lot for him. He always spoke about how great the show was back at the nursing home. In May, Anthony passed away of a massive heart attack but the real culprit was the MS destroying him for the last 25 years. Before he died he said wanted to write to thank you for having such great shows and to continue the shows forever. So I am thanking you for him and making my brother's world so much happier especially this year. I know he will be watching from above and of course he now has the best seat in the house. We truly had a great evening. Thank you again.
Sincerely,

04-05-08, 04-06-08 Hauppauge, NY Thanks for another amazing Doo-Wop weekend! We still can't believe how LAR can put together such a show, with so many groups, and make it seem so easy! The acts all seemed to be having a great time, as we did... can't wait for the next one! This was our third Doo-Wop weekend - we never think it can get any better, but it does! We love seeing the acts that we didn't know were still around, and it's great to see the ones we love, also! Looking forward to see who you have next year - thanks for keeping it going!

10-06-07 State Theatre Uniontown, PA Dear LAR Enterprises: The Stars of the 60s show in Uniontown PA on October 6 was a great Oldies experience for me. I am 42 years old, and I have collected vinyl 45s for about 36 of those years. I am from Pittsburgh, PA, and the 45 mile drive each way to Uniontown was well worth it. Chris Montez, Brian Hyland, Sam the Sham, the Buckinghams, and the Grass Roots were fantastic, and were willing to talk, pose for pictures, and even sign my vinyl 45s of some of their hits, at intermission. I was probably the youngest person there, but I am always trying to get more people my age to appreciate this music. Thank you very much for putting this together, and perhaps you could reunite these 5 acts again. Thanks. Rob The show on The Stars of the Sixties was fabulous. Fish and Pickle Radio do a wonderful job. Please keep sending shows to Uniontown PA
4/28-4/29/07 Doo Wop Weekend Vol. V Hauppauge, NY
Thank you for another GREAT WEEKEND! WOW! Another great show at Hauppauge High School last night. My wife and I both enjoyed the show very much, especially when Jay Seigel and the Tokens performed. Their addition of Jay Traynor (Original Lead Singer of Jay and the Americans),is a big plus for this group!!! It was great to hear "She Cried",and the response from the audience was fantastic!!! Great Job on all your shows!!!! Hello Rob, on behalf Gene Hughes' family we would like to thank you for allowing us to be a part of your doo-wop weekend event. We enjoyed ourselves and made some new friends as well as meeting up with some old friends in the industry. The Hospitality was wonderful and everyone was very friendly. It was a fantastic show... It was a pleasure working with you... Peter & Sheila, Gene Hughes' "The Casinos" What a fabulous show....I enjoyed every minute! MY WIFE AND I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU BOTH FOR A FANTASTIC WEEKEND CONCERT. WE REALIZE HOW HARD AND COMPLICATED IT MUST BE TO PUT ON SUCH A SHOW. THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR EFFORTS TO SAVE ROCK & ROLL The weekend was spectacular. The performers were great...L.A.R. is running on all cylinders...Can't wait for the DVDs... I just want to tell you that Bob, Sandy and I thought this was the best doo wop yet. As many shows as we have gone to and as many artists as we have seen, we were able to pick up 8-10 new ones with the highlight being Tommy Sands. Cathy Jean, Edsels and Velvets were the other great new ones and Barbara Lewis is great. 4/21/07 A Night Of Doo-Wop/Rock & Roll Vol. II Torrington, CT The show was GREAT! The entertainers were fantastic! All had charisma and class. All were still very talented... I would see all of them again any time Again, thanks for Great Shows, we've been to the Warner for all of them Absolutely fantastic!!! My husband and I wished wecould have gotten up to dance, however,we did a lot of "toe tapping". Certainly brought back many memories. Thanks for a wonderful show.
