Just a note to say yesterdays show was
really great! Everything was run very smooth and easy. The performers were
great, greeting people and signing autographs. This was our first show with
LAR It will definitely not be our last! Thanks again for a great day!
Thanks for another amazing Doo-Wop weekend! We
still can't believe how LAR can put together such a show, with so many
groups, and make it seem so easy! The acts all seemed to be having a
great time, as we did... can't wait for the next one!
This was our third Doo-Wop weekend -
we never think it can get any better, but it does! We love seeing the
acts that we didn't know were still around, and it's great to see the ones
we love, also!
Looking forward to see who you have next year - thanks for keeping it going!

The show on Oct 6 with The Grass Roots was wonderful. I saw them at The
State in 2005 and couldn't wait to see them again. Chris Montez...WOW! What
a preformance! I'm 46 and heard all of these performers through my mother's
records...she was there and I thought I was going to have to tie her to her
seat when Chris Montez was performing! Come to think of it, I should have
tied MYSELF to the seat too!!! Thank you for bringing these wonderful people
to town.
Dear LAR Enterprises: The Stars of the
60s show in Uniontown PA on October 6 was a great Oldies experience for me.
I am 42 years old, and I have collected vinyl 45s for about 36 of those
years. I am from Pittsburgh, PA, and the 45 mile drive each way to Uniontown
was well worth it. Chris Montez, Brian Hyland, Sam the Sham, the Buckinghams,
and the Grass Roots were fantastic, and were willing to talk, pose for
pictures, and even sign my vinyl 45s of some of their hits, at intermission.
I was probably the youngest person there, but I am always trying to get more
people my age to appreciate this music. Thank you very much for putting this
together, and perhaps you could reunite these 5 acts again. Thanks. Rob
The show on The Stars of the Sixties
was fabulous. Fish and Pickle Radio do a wonderful job. Please keep sending
shows to Uniontown PA

Wop Weekend Vol. V Hauppauge, NY
This show was the greatest. I purchased
tickets for my husband to celebrate our 30th anniversary. when I told the
phone representative taking the order what it was for, I was given GREAT
seats. We had almost as much fun at
this, as we did 30 years ago at our wedding. Keep up the good work
keeping the oldies alive.
Thank you for another GREAT WEEKEND!
It was a great show on Saturday and Sunday. Its a good thing your putting this show
on DVD so future generations can see what great music this is. I hope you can put
future doowop weekend shows on DVD also... thank you for a great show.
WOW! Another great show at Hauppauge High School last night. My wife and I both
enjoyed the show very much, especially when Jay Seigel and the Tokens performed.
Their addition of Jay Traynor (Original Lead Singer of Jay and the Americans),is
a big plus for this group!!!
It was great to hear "She Cried",and the response from the audience was fantastic!!!
Great Job on all your shows!!!!
Hello Rob, on behalf Gene Hughes' family we would like to thank you for allowing us
to be a part of your doo-wop weekend event. We enjoyed ourselves and made some new
friends as well as meeting up with some old friends in the industry. The Hospitality
was wonderful and everyone was very friendly. It was a fantastic show... It was a
pleasure working with you... Peter & Sheila, Gene Hughes' "The Casinos"
What a fabulous show....I enjoyed every minute!
MY WIFE AND I WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU BOTH FOR A FANTASTIC WEEKEND CONCERT.
WE REALIZE HOW HARD AND COMPLICATED IT MUST BE TO PUT ON SUCH A SHOW.
THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN FOR ALL YOUR EFFORTS TO SAVE ROCK & ROLL
The weekend was spectacular. The performers were great...L.A.R. is running on all
cylinders...Can't wait for the DVDs...
I just want to tell you that Bob, Sandy and I thought this was the best doo wop yet.
As many shows as we have gone to and as many artists as we have seen, we were able
to pick up 8-10 new ones with the highlight being Tommy Sands. Cathy Jean, Edsels
and Velvets were the other great new ones and Barbara Lewis is great.
