LAR Enterprises is happy to announce that Cool Bobby B,  the number one DJ playing Doo-Wop on  XM satellite & internet radio, will be joining LAR Enterprises to host many of our shows as well as market them coast to coast. We feel we have the best concert hosts in the business bar none.
The trio of Bobby Jay, Don K. Reed and now Cool Bobby B. are the most knowledgeable and professional hosts in this business.
These are not amateurs telling silly jokes, but what you would expect from a professional host; an MC talking about the show and the performers. We are also working with Cool Bobby B on Doo-wop Convention weekend with a date and place to be announced in the near future.  You can visit his webite at www.doowopstop.com

It Has To Stop!

December 10, 2007

As many of you are aware, LAR Enterprises, Inc. is a promoter and producer of music concerts throughout the country since 1998. We are known for our fundraisers on Long Island which are held in various schools. These concerts help fund many worthwhile organizations for the children in our communities. Also, we raised $10,000 to help the families of the 9/11 disaster which was donated to the Radio Relief Fund, sponsored by B103.

A few weeks ago a promoter/producer had pressured 2 performers not to play on our March 2, 2008 show after they had agreed to perform at our show. As in the past, we had contracts were all agreed upon and deposits were cashed. Apparently, this promoter/producer has the ability to pressure people since they are a larger organization than we are.

We are making every effort to stop this from happening again. We will seek every legal avenue to expose this injustice. The only way to keep your ticket price down is to have competition which they don’t want. We need to let you know what has been going on each time some artists are said to appear and don’t. Keep checking our website for further information. Thank you for your support.

We at LAR Enterprises, Inc. want to thank the many emails and phone calls we received in support of “It Has To Stop”.  We have also received threatening calls as you can imagine telling us to stop legal action. As mentioned before we are moving ahead with legal action, Restraint of Trade is illegal and will be dealt with in our courts. We are holding everyone accountable - producers, promoters, artists and agents alike. They cannot threaten us or stop us from doing what we feel is right.

Many of you have asked what we can do to help and we say silence.  That’s right - if they don’t hear from you at all you are helping us. Think about it -  if all of us stopped buying Exxon for just one day with the threat of a long term stoppage, they would have to lower their price. They couldn’t be the bullies they are, they would have to listen. It’s the same idea here, but much easier because you really don’t need what they’re selling.

So pass the word stay silent and with your help they will understand “IT HAS TO STOP”.

Mr. Albanese I just want to thank you for another great show Sat January 19,2008. We have been going to shows for years and they are so professional- miles better then any shows we have ever gone to. All the groups were great, the sound terrific and the M/C very entertaining. The show had pace and with a no- nonsense approach and  people who were there just had a great time.

At intermission I had the privilege of meeting you and someone from the crowd asked about "It Has To Stop". Your reply was that it is in the hands of the Lawyers. Someone mentioned that they weren't going to Westbury even though you didn't acknowledge that it was them causing the problem) and they were going to call people not to go there until this is resolved. We too are not going to go and we are emailing our friends and relatives to stay away. We picked March 1 show as the first one to boycott because they try to emulate you but they do a poor job.  Mr. Albanese please post this on your website so that the followers of doo wop music will stay away from the Westbury shows. Thanks, see you at doo-wop weekend.         Bob & Tina Setara

Over the last few days LAR Enterprises, Inc. and the Management team from North Fork Theater at Westbury (Mr. Jason Stone) have discussed the problems that were brought to your attention on our website. In the spirit of cooperation, LAR Enterprises will now have more diversified shows on Long Island. We thank you, our customers, and also Mr. Stone for getting this accomplished.  As far as our Doo-wop shows are concerned, nothing has changed. We will still bring you the best Doo-wop shows bar none.

Unfortunately the promoter who was also involved in this matter has chosen to take another road. He is attempting to hurt all our shows in the Tri-State area. Instead of negotiating, his ego and his arrogance believe he doesn’t have to. Why? Because he doesn’t want competition. Our fight is now with him, we will seek legal action against him for the past problems. Maybe then he will see “It Has To Stop”

We at LAR Enterprises want to thank all of you for your continued support. This has been a long hard battle but hopefully we have all created a new beginning.
